Second workshop of training course , organized by Chamber of Commerce of Basilicata called “Wool and surroundings” for the exchange of skills on wool processing. This module, “Fibers – Yarns and Spinnings”, is in progress. It provides for an in-depth study of each phase of wool processing (washing, combing, carding and even spinning) from a theoretical and practical point of view.
Today we are used to having wool products already finished and so we do not understand how much work goes into making a handcrafted sweater. The industrialization has made us lose the essence and beauty of handmade works. In this laboratory, the entire process of wool processing is carried out with the help of very few equipments, purchased with the resources of the project.
